We are so blessed to have this amazing church building to help us reach people for Jesus. Attached to our main sanctuary is a beautiful chapel area. Our plans are to give this fellowship area a coffee shop atmosphere. It will be used for fellowship before and after services, but also during the week as a place for youth and adults to come meet, relax, study, etc. We will serve coffee, tea and refreshments. You are probably asking, “What does SOAP have to do with it?” S.O.A.P. stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. It is a Bible study and devotion method developed by Pastor Wayne Cordiero In Hawaii. Amazingly, I was in line to board the plane in Japan last evening and Pastor Wayne happened to be right beside me! I told him what we are doing and he got excited and told me to keep him updated. How about that for confirmation!?
We will serve the drinks and refreshments, but our goal is to make a place where people will S.O.A.P. “To be unique from other coffee shops bring your own cup for free coffee or tea.” We will eventually provide free WIFI. There is a small stage, which we will open up for people to perform wholesome entertainment.
